Itinerary

Day 1

AIRPORT ARRIVAL

  • Arrive at Salalah international Airport. Meet & greet by a Tour Oman representative Transfer to the hotel.
  • Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 2

HALF DAY SALALAH CITY TOUR. – (03 – 04 HOUR)

  • Breakfast at hotel. Today morning 0830 Hrs. you will be picked up for the tour by our guide. This morning w wi s a o o wi h visi o h “M s of h F ankinc ns Land”. O n d in July 2007 at Al Balid Archaeological Park, a UNESCO heritage site located in Salalah, the F ankinc ns Land M s is h a s addi ion o O an’s h i ag and c a sc n . It houses two main halls, namely the History Hall, depicting the geography, history of the ancient Frankincense trail and the historical background of the Sultanate through a number of archaeological findings, and The Marine Hall, featuring displays about the d v o n of O an’s ich a in his o . A co his o of h Ma i i ad & ship building industry of Oman could be experienced here, with meticulously carved replicas of the ancient boats & ships of the Omani Maritime trade. Drive through lush green plantations of vegetables & fruits. Make a brief stop to experience the locally grown fruits and vegetables at fruits and vegetable stall. Visit the impressive Sultan Qaboos Mosque in central Salalah. Built in 2009 the mosque welcomes thousands of worshippers. The largest mosque in Salalah is opened for non- Muslim visitors from Saturdays to Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. View the Official Palace of His Majesty the Sultan (Al Husn Palace) & stroll through the old Haffah souk, famous for the sale of high quality Frankincense & numerous other Dhofari traditional souvenirs. Return to the hotel in the afternoon.Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 3

HALF DAY SALALAH EAST TOUR

  • Breakfast at Hotel. Today morning by 0830 Hrs. you will be picked by tour by our guide. The excursion begins with a visit to the old fishing village of 'Taqah', famous for the 'Dried Sardines' & its traditional & old 'Dhofari Houses'. Visit the century old 'Taqah Castle', the former official residence of the 'Wali' (Governor) of the region & obtain a glimpse into the rich history of the region. Continue onto the ancient ruins of the once famous city of Sumharam (KhorRohri). The city was the easternmost outpost of the Hadramawt Kingdom on the ancient incense route between the Mediterranean Sea, Persian Gulf and India. KhorRori was an important port on the coast of Dhofar, and one of the major trading cities with frankincense, believed to have been the hub & harbor for the shipping of Frankincense (UNESCO World Heritage site). On our way back to the hotel, explore the beauty of Wadi Darbat. Return to the hotel by late noon.

Day 4

HALF DAY SALALAH WEST TOUR

  • Breakfast at Hotel. Today morning 0830 Hrs. you will be picked up by our guide for the tour. We start our half day exploration of Dhofar by driving towards the 'Qara' mountains, on a road steadily winding up a steep incline; herds of camels & cattle are a common sight which gives a scenic view of a traditional Dhofari rural beauty. Visit the ancient tomb of 'Prophet Job' situated in the scenic green mountains of the Salalah Plains. Experience the legendary story of Prophet Job and his devoutness. Next proceed to the beach of Mughsail, where the white sand touches the deep blue of the ocean at high tide, where waves burst through the natural titanic 'Blow Holes', at the far end of h ‘Rock ach' with a cave-like entrance. We thereafter continue along the 'Hair-pin-bend' road towards Western Border of Oman, with its breathtaking cliffs on either side to see the historical 'Frankincense trees' growing in their natural habitat, deep down in the valleys, dotting the dry & craggy countryside. We take a short walk into the valleys to smell the 'Holy Incense' amidst the scenic view of the region. On our return journey we make a photo stop at the lagoon at Mughsail where migratory birds, occasionally flamingos are a common sight. Return to the hotel in the afternoon.

Day 5

FULL DAY MOUNTAIN SAFARI – 06 HOURS

  • Breakfast at Hotel. Breakfast and departure for a full day Mountain Safari adventure. Explore the most fascinating natural sites in Dhofar mountains. Proceed higher to the Jabal Qara Mountains to reach the impressive Tawi Attair (Well of Birds) sinkhole. Over the rim of the abyss you can look down to the depth of 211 meters. Next stop on the route will be the huge canyon-like sinkhole Tayq which is one of the largest sinkholes in the world. Afterwards you will arrive to the stunning viewpoint on the edge of Samhan mountains escarpment. From the elevation of 1340 m you will have the opportunity to view the vast Dhofar plain and the sea coast. Last stop will take you to the picturesque Hinae valley where you can admire the forest of giant baobab trees. After tour return back to hotel.
  • Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 6

AIRPORT DEPARTURE

  • Breakfast at Hotel.
  • Transfer to the Salalah international airport.

  • Being at the airport at least two hours before the flight time and adhering to the weight conditions specified by the airlines.

 

  • Any amendment, delay or cancellation of the flight time is the responsibility of the airline management.

 

  • Some airlines (Fly NAS - Ras Al Khaimah – Air Arabia - Fly Dubai – Wizz Airline … ets) cannot cancel the ticket and refund the money. An amendment can be made 24 hours before the flight time with additional fees.

 

  • In the event of cancellation of the reservation during the season period, the value of the room reservation in the hotel is calculated in full and for the entire period, and in normal days, the first night is calculated in the event that the cancellation was 48 hours before the time of entry to the hotel.

 

  • Any modification in the type of rooms or hotel is according to the available possibility at the hotel.

 

  • The check-in time for the hotel is 2:00 noon, the check-out time for the hotel is 12:00 noon, according to the approved system in hotels.
