About Muscat

Muscat is the capital and largest metropolitan city of Oman. Often referred to as the walled city. Muscat is located in northeast Oman, surrounded by mountains and desert. The climate is tropical, with very hot and generally humid weather year-round. Muscat's economy, like that of Oman, is dominated by trade. The more traditional exports of the city included dates, mother of pearl, and fish. The Muscat Securities Market is the principal stock exchange of Oman. Mina'a Sultan Qaboos, Muscat's main trading port.
